Comprehensive Digital Dental Exam

See What We See. Understand Your Oral Health.

At Siesta Dental Implant & Family Dentistry, we believe patients should be able to see and understand what is happening in their own mouths.

Our Comprehensive Digital Dental Exam combines advanced imaging, high-resolution intraoral scanning, and AI-assisted technology to provide a detailed evaluation of your teeth, gums, bone, bite, and overall oral health. Instead of simply telling you what we find, we can show you.

A More Complete View of Your Oral Health

Depending on your individual needs, your comprehensive examination may incorporate several advanced diagnostic technologies:

High-Resolution Intraoral Cameras

Small digital cameras allow us to capture detailed images inside your mouth and display them on a screen. You can see areas of concern—including worn, fractured, discolored, or damaged teeth—along with your dentist.

Digital Dental Radiographs

Digital X-rays help evaluate areas that cannot be adequately assessed through visual examination alone, including the spaces between teeth, existing dental restorations, supporting bone, and other structures.

Digital Panoramic Imaging

A panoramic image provides a broad view of the teeth, jaws, temporomandibular joint areas, and surrounding structures, helping us evaluate your oral health beyond individual teeth.

3D Cone Beam CT Imaging

When clinically indicated, CBCT technology provides three-dimensional information about the teeth, roots, jawbone, impacted teeth, and other anatomical structures. It is particularly valuable when planning dental implants and certain surgical or complex treatments.

3Shape TRIOS 6 + Dx: A New Generation of Digital Examination

Our 3Shape TRIOS 6 intraoral scanner creates a highly detailed digital representation of your teeth and gums without relying solely on conventional impressions. TRIOS 6 uses high-definition and hyperspectral scanning technology to capture detailed geometry, color, and additional optical information.

Combined with 3Shape Dx, this technology provides advanced tools to evaluate and monitor your oral health. AI-assisted analysis can help the dentist identify and visualize areas associated with:

  • Surface cavities
  • Tooth wear
  • Gingival recession
  • Dental plaque

The system can display findings directly on your digital 3D scan using easy-to-understand visual indicators, making it easier for you to see the areas being discussed.

AI-Assisted. Dentist Diagnosed.

Artificial intelligence does not replace your dentist. It provides an additional digital tool that can assist with identifying and documenting certain findings. Your dentist reviews your clinical examination, images, scans, dental history, symptoms, and other diagnostic information before making a diagnosis or treatment recommendation. TRIOS Dx is FDA-cleared in the United States as a dental image analyzer.

Dentistry You Can See and Understand

One of the greatest advantages of digital dentistry isn’t simply better technology—it’s better communication. Instead of looking at an X-ray you may not understand or being told that a tooth has a problem, you can view high-resolution photographs, digital radiographs, 3D scans, and other images together with your dentist. We can point to the area of concern, explain what we see, discuss its severity, and review your treatment options. That means fewer surprises, clearer conversations, and more informed decisions about your dental care.

Your Digital Baseline

Your digital records can also provide an important baseline for the future. Digital scans and images can help us document your oral condition and evaluate changes over time—such as tooth wear, gum recession, tooth movement, and other changes.

Comprehensive Technology. Personalized Care.

Advanced technology is valuable only when it leads to better patient care. At Siesta Dental Implant & Family Dentistry, our Comprehensive Digital Dental Exam brings together modern imaging, digital scanning, AI-assisted analysis, and the clinical judgment of your dentist to create a clear picture of your oral health.

See it. Understand it. Make an informed decision.
